Placement Cell
Career Planning and counselling is an integral part of the objectives pursuaded by the Institute. The placement cell headed by the Director and few Faculty members acts as a channel of communication between organisations and students,thereby facilitating them with recruitement services.

The palcement cell aims in filling up the gap between the industry and the students in terms of emerging job opportunities.

The cell acts as a facilitator between footwear professionals looking for employment opportunity and the industry looking forward for such professionals in the field of Footwear Technology.

Placement cell also furnishes the details of Footwear professionals whenever the companies and organisations send their requirements to the placement cell interested in recruiting and providing job opportunities for such professionals.

Placement Process

Pre-Placement Talk
The placement talk is an presentation made to the students by the organisations. The objective of the presentaions is to provide students with an opportunity to understand the organisation, career prospects,job requiremnts and other relevent details. The Institue shall provide presentaion aid such as Overhead Projector,Slide Projector,VCR/TV etc.

Selection Procedure
After receiving the message from the Industry the Director of the Institute shall communicate back to the company regarding scheduled date and time for campus recruitment. The following guidelines shall apply regarding offer of employment and their acceptence by the students.

1. Participating Organisations must follow the guidelines laid down by the Placement cell.

2. Final job offers should invariably be made on campus itself as students might otherwise be tempted to accept alternativre offers. Any delay in the announcement of the final result may result in the selected candidates being placed elsewhere.

3. The job offers must specify the functional ares, intial posting, emoulments, designation and other details.

4. Job offers must be handed over to the Placement cell of the Institute and not to the Students directly. Acceptence and rejections will be forwarded to the company by the Placement cell at the earliest.
