Different
countries are following different types of sizing systems. Among them

2.
English System :
Also
called as UK system or British system. Here the length difference between
two successive sizes is 1/3" or 8.46mm. There is 1/2 sizes also. Here
the scale starts with '0' at 4" and runs upto 13 i.e. 8 1/3" (called children's
range length difference 1/3") and at 8 2/3" it starts again with 1 and
proceeds with intervals of 1/3".
1 Size = 1/3" or 8.46mm
1/2 Size = 1/6" or 4.23mm |

3.
American System :
This
is identical to English system but it starts at 3 11/12" and with a size
difference of 1/3". But because of size marking practice in America 1
size is added to English size to get American men size, 1 1/2 size is
added to women size and 1/2 size to children's size. |

4.
Mondo Point :
Here
the size intervals between the two successive sizes 5 mm or 7.5 mm depending
on the type of footwear. (7.5 mm increment normally use for moulded footwear
to reduce the cost of moulds.)
5.
Centimeter System :
Here
the sizes are measured in centimeters.
